Nov 11 Documentation | Unplanned

Photo:
Sick day.

Words: Today was a sick day.

What you can take from this:
  • I could have taken a photo of myself looking like hell to represent today's sick day, but a candle, Shakespeare, and Dayquil before a bath just about covers it too. And now there's not a picture of Zombie Megan floating around the Internet. But seriously, a great way to document being sick is to focus on what makes you feel better when you are sick: medicine, tissues, soup, home remedies, hot tea with milk and honey (my favorite), warm socks, etc.
  • A few words will do it some days. Try simple journaling starting with "Today is" or "Today was". It can be as easy as "Today was a good day." or "Today sucked." It can be a good starter to a paragraph too: "Today was amazing. We went to visit Aunt Millie by the beach. The air was heavy with humidity, but the cool water made up for it. We spotted seagulls..." or whatever.

This is my unplanned documentation for the day. This workshop is about documenting what matters to you, so I'm documenting what inspires me. If you get stuck, try documenting something from the Daily Doc | Nov 2012 handout. It has 30 prompts to use if you get stuck documenting. I'm tackling all the prompts month AND doing unplanned daily documentation.

If you did unplanned documentation today, post a link to it in the comments section!
