Nov 15 Documentation | Handout

Prompt: Your means of transportation
Photo:
Neighborhood Photo Walk
Words: For everything we do that envolves leaving Midtown (buying groceries at Trader Joe's, visiting our family members, Jake's office) we have our new-to-us Lincoln. Jake also has the scooter for close by runs on nice days. But for everything else during the day, it's Jonas and me and the stroller. I love that we live in a location where we're plopped down in the middle of most of the things we could need: food, a coffeeshop, a hardware store, a post office and a library, bunches of bookstores, clothing stores, specialty shops. Mostly Jonas and I take walks for the fun of it, but today we walked to get the few grocery items we couldn't pick up at Trader Joe's for chili. One of the main influences on our house location was all of the great stuff in walking distance.

Here's what you can take from this:
  • I took the photo for yesterday's unplanned documentation just a few moments after taking this photo. There are usually multiple stories you can tell from any given event.
  • Look down. I know you probably need another hipster photo of feet like you need a hole in the head, but I wanted to take a picture of my feet pounding the pavement with the stroller because this is precisely my view on walks.
  • If you have multiple transportation options, write about when you use each.

This is my documentation from the Daily Doc | Nov 2012 handout. It has 30 prompts to use if you get stuck documenting. I'm tackling all of these this month AND doing unplanned daily documentation. I printed out the prompts (pages 2-4 of the handout) and I'm highlighting them to cross them off as I go. I'm not doing them in order; I'm using them as they make sense for me.
If you did documentation from the handout today, post a link to it in the comments section!
