Words: Today was my last full day with Jessica. We took it easy, hung out at my house, took an unsuccessful walk to Half Price Books (Jonas threw a huge fit there, which is unlike him), played outside with Jonas and Leia, and cooked a delicious lunch. We did some hanging out with Eliza, Jessica read a lot of Harvey's Walking Dead graphic novels, and I tried to catch up on work. When Jake got home, Jessica and I went to the gym to swim. I tried to teach Jessica a few strokes, but it didn't really work too well. I tried to swim a mile, but the pool closed when I was right at 3/4 of a mile. So we finished up on the ellipticals. We came back, helped Jake get the kids in bed, and cooked dinner together. Then the three of us snuggled up and watched a whole lot of Breaking Bad. I wish every day could be like this.
What you can take from this:
- Get your subject comfortable by joking around an creating a lighthearted photography environment. You'll get much more natural looking smiles!
- I love listing out what I did in a day. This day seemed totally uneventful (even lazy), but it feels full when it's all listed out like that!
This is my unplanned documentation for the day. This workshop is about documenting what matters to you, so I'm documenting what inspires me. If you get stuck, try documenting something from the Daily Doc | Nov 2012 handout. It has 30 prompts to use if you get stuck documenting. I'm tackling all the prompts month AND doing unplanned daily documentation.
If you documented today, post a link to it in the comments section!
