Nov 19 Documentation | Unplanned

Photo:
Man in the kitchen = super hot.

Words: I broke the flipper, threw it away and forgot to buy a new one. Oops! Jake had to use his mad flipping-in-the-air skills to make the pancakes tonight.

What you can take from this:
  • I take the same photos over and over, and they're still interesting to me. There are a LOT of pictures of my family members cooking, because it's something we do everyday. Writing this, I realize that I do need to get more photos of me cooking, as I'm the head chef round these parts.
  • Document mistakes too. Forgetting to buy something we need is SO TOTALLY ME. I forget ingredients to dinners and Jake has to run and get them in the middle of me making it, or we need a supply to start a project and I'll think we have it (but we don't). This is the absentminded professor portion of my personality, and I want to get in my faults too. Because they're part of what makes me so quirky. What little mistakes do you make so often that they're part of who you are?

This is my unplanned documentation for the day. This workshop is about documenting what matters to you, so I'm documenting what inspires me. If you get stuck, try documenting something from the Daily Doc | Nov 2012 handout. It has 30 prompts to use if you get stuck documenting. I'm tackling all the prompts month AND doing unplanned daily documentation.

If you documented today, post a link to it in the comments section!
