Nov 2 Documentation | Unplanned

Words: Eliza had the day off from school today. Part of the morning was spend playing Computer Cool school, a learning game. Eliza and Jonas took turns (though I had to remind them to, with a bit of protest from both of them).

What you can take from this:
  • I like to sneak up on my family members and take photos while they're engrossed in something.
  • I like leaving a lot of negative space in the photo so that I'll have room to journal directly on it. When I slip this into my Project Life album, I'll either write directly on the photo, or I'll stick some patterned paper or label sticker in the corner and write on that.
  • Sometimes your writing can dig deeper, sometimes writing what amounts to a simple photo caption is enough.

This is my unplanned documentation for the day. This workshop is about documenting what matters to you, so I'm documenting what inspires me. If you get stuck, try documenting something from the Daily Doc | Nov 2012 handout. It has 30 prompts to use if you get stuck documenting. I'm tackling all the prompts month AND doing unplanned daily documentation.
