Words: Eliza's best friend Nani came over to play for the whole morning. They miss each other so much (they aren't in the same class this year). They spent the whole time in fancy dresses, played board games, ate cookies and hot chocolate, were bugged by Jonas, talked non-stop, and used their imaginations. They were so good at working out what to do democratically. When Allison came to get Nani, it was hard for Eliza to let her go. She went a little crazy trying to haggle us into letting them stay together!
What you can take from this:
- I skipped a few days posting here (my best friend from out of town is staying with us and Thanksgiving was CRAZY!), so I'm just making it up back to back. If you start to feel "behind", you can do what I'm doing, which is "making up" the documentation in one day (I already took the photos, but you can also "make up" by just taking more later if you skipped a few days). You can also just skip the days. Or you can move on and try to go back to days you missed later. It's all about documenting your life; not adding stress!
- If you have kids, make sure to get photos of their friends. I wish I had photos of my childhood friends! Also, make sure to get permission from those kids' parents before those photos go anywhere near the Internet.
This is my unplanned documentation for the day. This workshop is about documenting what matters to you, so I'm documenting what inspires me. If you get stuck, try documenting something from the Daily Doc | Nov 2012 handout. It has 30 prompts to use if you get stuck documenting. I'm tackling all the prompts month AND doing unplanned daily documentation.
If you documented today, post a link to it in the comments section!
