Words: Tiffany and Burt came over tonight. We had homemade pizza, Tiffany brought cake, and we had a good time sitting around talking and gossiping.
Of course, at some point, the media had to come out. Jake was showing Tiffany and Burt some of his photo editing tricks. The laptop or iPad makes an appearance pretty much every time we hang out with our friends: we love showing stuff off and so do they. Whether it's personal projects or funny You Tube videos, the Internet has very much become a part of our friendship bonding.
This is part of the culture of my generation. The Internet has changed our lives and relationships so much; I can only imagine how different our kid's lives will be because of it as well.
Here's what you can take from this:
- You can think of culture in terms of your national culture, your generation's culture, your ethnic culture, or a sub-culture you belong to.
- Our friends know that there's pretty much a photo toll now when we hang out with them. Make sure you're taking photos of the special people in your life: not just your immediate family.
This is my documentation from the Daily Doc | Nov 2012 handout. It has 30 prompts to use if you get stuck documenting. I'm tackling all of these this month AND doing unplanned daily documentation. I printed out the prompts (pages 2-4 of the handout) and I'm highlighting them to cross them off as I go. I'm not doing them in order; I'm using them as they make sense for me.
If you did documentation from the today, post a link to it in the comments section!
